Local 1014 Political Action News! Well we had a very busy day down at the Local 1014 Union Hall yesterday. It began with an active, informative and productive General Membership meeting.

LINE OF DUTY DEATH ANNOUNCEMNT Los Angeles City Firefighter Glenn L. Allen Your Local 1014 Board is saddened to announce the the passing of one of our Brother Firefighters from The United Firefighters of Los Angeles City Local 112.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors appointed Daryl L. Osby today to the position of County Forester and Fire Warden of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron Mathis.  Ron was a past Director for Local 1014 as well as a Camp Superintendent for our Fire Department. In an effort to inform our members as quickly as possible we are psoting the information we have so far of his passing.  As soon as we have some details we will post them.

The 1st Annual Dallas Jones Golf Tournament, benefiting the Firefighter Cancer Support Network, will be held May 27, 2011 at the California Country Club.

Local 1014 Executive Board will be supporting this great event for a noble cause and in Memory of our good friend Dallas Jones.  We encourage all of the membership to support this tournament and sign up early.  Let's go hit the ball around a bit and do good work for the Fire Cancer Support Network and all firefighter's that stand to benefit from thier work.
