HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
On behalf of the entire Local 1014 Executive Board and our Team at the Alfred K. Whitehead Labor Center Union Hall we want to take a moment and give you a little bit of Union information and also wish you a wonderful and safe Saint Patrick's Day and remind you to be smart and safe in your celebrations.
If you have never seen the IAFFFrontline Videos please take a moment to view this edition and sign up with the IAFF to receive these informative video updates to stay up on the issues affecting our membership at the national level.
In this edition please take a look at the NFORS story and know that we are one of the ten Unions and Departments who will be participating in the data collection study and software analysis. Data is something we all hate to collect and certainly no one likes to enter it into the systems we have now. This may be an opportunity to not only collect the data we need for staffing and budget items, but also to study the links between staffing levels and station locations and call outcomes.
While we will be pressing hard on the Department on a variety of issues as you have seen and will continue to see, credit where credit is due always, and thank you to the Fire Chief and the Department for embracing this NFORS National IAFF/IAFC project and we have hopes that with the new EPCR, CAD Dispatch and NFORS linked to NFIRS we can one day see a simple and effective data entry and collection system that will take some of the administrative load off our front line folks.
