For the past 3 years Southern California Edison has been approaching various cities throughout LA County about leasing land beneath High Voltage Power lines. Once leased, a developer would come in and construct buildings. This is obviously of concern to Local 1014 and we have voted to oppose ANY buidling below High Voltage Power lines. The problem is that some projects that have been in the "pipeline" are still moving forward. However, we will do whatever is necessary to halt these projects and get our message to the elected officials that these projects are a bad idea.
