MDA Final Numbers are finally in...
Local 1014 Executive Board would like to extend a big thank you to the membership of 1014 who participated in our annual MDA Fill the Boot campaign to combat this horrible disease that not only effects adults but children, some of our own Family members as well as some of our own Brothers and Sisters. Due to your efforts, despite lack of MDA staff and off duty volunteer, we collected almost 300,000 dollars. Our membership is still in the top 5 Departments in the USA and Canada. Thank you all who participated from the bottom of our hearts,
Special thanks to those who volunteered off duty as Battalion Ccoordinators and those who held over to make this event a success. It didn't go unnoticed to those special members who made it happen with a can do attitude despite a shortage of volunteers. Also a big thanks to the Chief Officers who participated with their boots and the "we will make it happen" old school spirit.
This is a long standing partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and our Local. Once again Local 1014 members rose to the occasion which only shows what a class act you folks are. Thanks again to all those who made this happen.
