"Recruit 31", Jesus Ontiveros
Loses his battle to fight cancer
It is with deep sadness I inform the brother and sisters of our great local that we have lost one of our newest members, "Recruit 31", class 138, lost his hard fought battle with cancer.
"I was able to spend time recently with Jesus and his young family. He was going to beat cancer; he was so excited to be a member of 1014 and member of our department".
Unfortunately, as we have seen to often, this horrible disease took another member of our department.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Jesus's wife and unborn child. 1014 is committed to working with Chief Osby and our department to make sure Jesus is laid to rest with honor and to make sure we are there for his young family during their time of mourning.
The Department Memorial Management team has begun to work with Jesus's family to plan his services and when we have complete details we will get the information out to our membership.
Please keep Jesus, his wife and child in your thoughts and prayers.
On behalf of your 1014 Executive Board,
Dave Gillotte, President
