Tuesday June 11th was a great night for the citizens of Inglewood. Two Council Members that had voted to close LA County FS 172 and refused to work with Local 1014 or LA County Fire to implement a solution to reopen the station, were defeated in an election. The results are in and our 1014 backed candidates won soundly (see above results). One of the first orders of business for the new council is to get FS 172 reopened. We look forward to working with our partners, in Inglewood to restore FS 172.

This last weekend (June 8th and 9th) your executive board, with other general members, hit the streets for our candidates. This along with our mail campaign and television spots made the difference.  A few short hours helped our candidates to be sucessful. Thank you to all those who participated.
