This Tuesday at 10:00 Local 1014 will be holding an important general membership meeting, and the Executive Board is asking for your attendance. We have a number of important items on the agenda as we begin 2011. Outgoing Board members Paul Rusin and John Bishop are stepping down after 8 years on the 1014 Board, and we will be thanking them for their outstanding work for the membership. We are also very pleased to announce that we will have as a special guest legendary IAFF General President Emeritus and 1014 President Emeritus Al Whitehead on hand to conduct the swearing in of new 1014 Directors John Tuck and Al McConnell and the installation of the new 1014 Board.

·         Operations issues

·         The latest on pensions

·         Contract cities

·         The status of section for the new Fire Chief

·         Governor and legislature updates

·         The outlook for the LACoFD for 2011 and beyond

·         Any other issues, comments, suggestions or questions by the membership

 

We must have a minimum of 25 members in attendance to conduct business, and we would like many more times that number for this very important and productive meeting. 

 

The meeting will start at 10:00, and a lunch buffet is scheduled for 11:00. Come meet, listen to, and talk with the new 1014 Board.
