This year, we enhanced our benefits and introduced the $900 Wellness Benefit, providing you and your families with the flexibility to purchase items that support and improve your health and well-being.

As of May 22, 2026, the Local 1014 Health Plan will no longer administer the $900 Wellness Benefit, in compliance with guidance issued by the County and the IRS. Additionally, members who utilized the benefit may receive a 1099 tax form related to benefit usage.

As part of the Local 1014 Health Trust’s ongoing commitment to our members, we explored alternative ways to continue enhancing your benefits. As a result, we are pleased to announce a reduction in the Out-of-Pocket Maximum, retroactive to January 1, 2026. Under this enhancement, members will now have a $0 Out-of-Pocket Maximum for in-network providers and only a $500 Out-of-Pocket Maximum for out-of-network providers. This enhancement would allow a direct savings of $1000 to members and provide greater flexibility to use those savings toward the healthcare items and services you need most.
