WE NEED YOU ON TUESDAY FEB 10!!!
Updated On: Feb 09, 2026

If you’re tired of working without a contract…

If you’re tired of uncertainty for your family’s future…

If you’re tired of feeling like the County can delay and ignore us…

Then show up. Make your voice heard. Stand with your brothers and sisters in public safety.

CALL TO ACTION: STAND UP FOR FAIRNESS.

Los Angeles County firefighters deserve a fair, just, and binding process when contract negotiations reach an impasse. Binding arbitration is about accountability, respect, and ensuring the men and women who protect this County are treated with the dignity they’ve earned.

That’s why we’re calling on all members to join us—alongside our public safety partners—at a rally before the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors in support of the Binding Arbitration measure.

We strongly encourage all available off-duty firefighters and their families to attend and show the strength and unity of our department. A strong turnout sends a clear message: firefighters will not be ignored.

Because this issue is that important, we are canceling our regularly scheduled General Membership Meeting so that all members can attend and stand united at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting.

This decision was not made lightly. It reflects the seriousness of this moment and the impact binding arbitration will have on our contracts, our families, and the future of this Department.

There is nothing more important than showing the County — loudly and visibly — that firefighters are united and demanding a fair, binding process.

As firefighters, we are legally prohibited from striking. When negotiations with the County stall, management can delay, dictate terms, or walk away — leaving our pay, benefits, and working conditions in limbo.

We are living that reality right now.  We have been without a contract for more than a year. As we continue fighting for a fair agreement, we are seeing firsthand how the County can drag out negotiations with little consequence.

Binding arbitration fixes that.

  • It guarantees a fair, neutral process to resolve contract impasses
  • It prevents the County from stalling indefinitely when a contract expires
  • It ensures disputes are decided by independent experts, not politicians
  • It protects future firefighters from weaker contracts and eroding benefits

Binding arbitration doesn’t give us special treatment — it gives us a fair process, especially critical when firefighters are denied the right to strike.
