1014 Mourns the loss of Captain Jan Chatelain

1014 Members mourn the loss of our Sister Captain Janet "Jan" Chatelain

It is with deep sadness and regret that local 1014, along with Chief Daryl Osby notify you today of the passing of our Sister Janet Chatelain. Jan's last assignment was FS 41 C shift, Battalion 13. Jan passed away Sunday with family and friends around her supporting her and each other in their time of need. She has been battling an aggressive form of job related cancer.

1014, once again, will be working with the Department, Jan's family and the Departments Memorial Management Team to ensure the proper care for Sister Chatelain's family and to make certain she is laid to rest with Honor. We will also be there to assist our brothers and sisters of Local 1014 and the Department through this loss.

A flag ceremony will be held Thursday June 27 at LA County Fire Station 41 at 11: 00 am

A Memorial honoring Captain Chatelain will be held Saturday June 29th at 3:00 pm at:

Green Hills Mortuary and Chapel.
Rancho PV of Western Ave.
