This week, we joined our brothers and sisters at ALADS to pay tribute to Detective Joshua Kelley-Eklund for his 19 years of distinguished service to the Los Angeles County community. Detective Kelley-Eklund made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty when he was killed by an explosion last month. His courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to protecting others will never be forgotten.

FIREFIGHTERS AGAINST CANCER STUDY
You are invited to participate in a research study designed to better understand firefighters’ perceptions and beliefs about cancer risk factors and preventive behaviors.
In this study, we will evaluate short videos about firefighters’ experiences with cancer.
If you agree to participate, you will be asked to complete two surveys (10 minutes each) and watch a short 5-minute video.
Taking part in this research is completely voluntary. Your participation will help us develop more effective cancer prevention programs and interventions to reduce firefighter cancer risk.
